Voters are being asked to choose a new governor, a United States senator, a representative to Congress, multiple candidates for the Maine Legislature and York County Sheriff.

Additionally, there are several uncontested races on this year’s ballot, including District Attorney (Kathryn Slattery); County Commissioner (Doris Ortiz); County Treasurer (Bob Mills) and Maine House District 32 (Ryan Fecteau).

Biddeford residents will also be asked whether they support a referendum to replace a part-time elected county treasurer with an existing professional financial director.
